I was told today would be when I would find out if I was hired. This morning I psyched myself, saying they probably would not contact me until after 1pm. They might not contact me until tomorrow or Wednesday. They could ghost me all together; I’ve been through that enough times.
At 8:50 AM I got an email and I was delighted to see the subject line was: Letter of Offer. I immediately accepted the offer (before I even looked at the letter because I was entirely too excited) and then started the paperwork. I could not be more stoked or relieved.
Which, let me tell you, relief is a wonderful thing to feel! When I was stuck in fight or flight I had absolutely no stress recovery. I would get through a stressful event and then feel just as stressed as I was before it was resolved. But now I feel it. It had flooded my veins. Things might actually be okay and it feels amazing.
I feel so thankful for everyone who has supported me. Everyone who has crossed their fingers while I waited. Everyone who reached out to say congrats on my official New Job Social Media post. Even when things were dark, I felt surrounded by love and I am so thankful for everyone who was a part of that.
I have been so lucky in my life in a lot of ways and I recognize. I am grateful for everything that has gotten me here, because some of it was really not a good time, but I got to the other side. I hope this new beginning is exactly where I need to be.
